We are seeking a talented and experienced Bakery & Pastry Chef to join our resort hotel team in Mauritius. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry preparation, creating high-quality desserts, breads, and pastries that delight guests. You will be responsible for managing the bakery section, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and working closely with the culinary team to deliver exceptional food experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bakery & Pastry Chef in a resort or hotel environment
  • Relevant diploma or certification in baking, culinary arts, or hotel management

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of bakery and pastry items including cakes, breads, tarts, and desserts
  • Develop and innovate recipes according to guest preferences and seasonal availability
  • Ensure all bakery products meet quality, taste, and presentation standards
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the bakery area following food safety standards
