Job Description

  • Prepare, bake, and present sourdough and other leavened bread products

  • Manage sourdough starters, fermentation, proofing, and baking processes

  • Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and texture of bakery items

  • Operate and monitor baking equipment safely and efficiently

Skills Required

Strong knowledge of sourdough and leavened bread productionUnderstanding of fermentation, hydration, and proofing techniquesHands-on experience with commercial baking equipmentKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bakery Chef or Bread Baker
  • Strong knowledge of sourdough and leavened bread production
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts with overtime when required

Responsibilities

  • Mix, shape, proof, and bake bread according to standardized recipes
  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads with a focus on sourdough and leavened breads
  • Maintain and manage sourdough starters and fermentation processes
  • Monitor baking times, temperatures, and equipment usage
