Job Description

A Bakery Commi 1 is responsible for preparing high-quality bakery items, assisting in daily production, and ensuring smooth operations within the bakery section. This role supports the Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef in delivering consistent standards while maintaining hygiene, accuracy, and creativity in all bakery preparations.

Skills Required

Strong knowledge of bakery techniques (mixing, proofing, shaping, baking).Basic creativity and interest in new bakery trends.Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.Familiarity with food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP practices

Requirements

  • Previous experience as Commi Baker or trainee in a bakery or pastry section (preferred).
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or shifts as required.
  • Good physical stamina for long hours of standing and bakery tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards as directed by the Chef.
  • Ensure all bakery items meet quality and taste standards before service.
  • Assist in mixing doughs, scaling ingredients, proofing, shaping, and baking products.
