Job Description

A Commi 1 is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards. The role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, luxury hotel or resort environment.

Skills Required

Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques: sautéing, grilling, baking, roastingBasic knowledge of dough making, baking, pastries, and desserts.Knowledge of proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO).

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a 5-star hotel or luxury resort (preferred).
  • Understanding of basic culinary techniques and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Chefs in all sections—Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Pastry/Bakery, or Butchery depending on assignment.
  • Follow hygiene and safety protocols, including HACCP guidelines.
