Job Description

The Commis II is responsible for assisting in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. The role ensures consistency, quality, and presentation of dishes while maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Skills Required

Basic culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Commis or in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of menu items.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the head chef.
