Job Description

A Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in the kitchen, acting as the second-in-command after the Head Chef/Executive Chef. This position ensures smooth daily operations, supervises kitchen staff, maintains food quality, and helps develop menu items while ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards.

Skills Required

Strong culinary skills and deep knowledge of food production.Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.Leadership, communication, and team management abilities.Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred).
  • Physically fit to handle long shifts and kitchen activities.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing the full kitchen operations.
  • Check taste, texture, and consistency of all food items before they are served.
  • Support in creating new menu items, specials, and seasonal dishes.
