Job Description

A Commis Chef (Continental Cuisine) supports the senior chefs in preparing high-quality continental dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The role requires knowledge of Western cuisine, proper food handling, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Skills Required

Basic knowledge of culinary techniques such as grilling, sauteing, baking, and roasting.Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent quality.Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Western or Continental cuisine (hotel or restaurant background).
  • Understanding of Continental menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of continental dishes including soups, salads, grills, pasta, and sauces.
  • Ensure proper mise-en-place before service and maintain workstations neatly.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and quality at all times.
