Job Description

The Kitchen Intern supports the culinary team across various kitchen sections such as hot kitchen, cold kitchen, bakery, and garde manger. This role is designed to provide hands-on training in food preparation, hygiene standards, kitchen organization, and international culinary practices. Interns work directly under chefs and learn the core fundamentals of professional kitchen operations.

Skills Required

Basic knowledge of food preparation (not mandatory but an advantage).Passion for cooking and willingness to learn professional culinary skills.Good teamwork and communication with chefs and other interns.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related fields. Candidates without formal culinary education may also apply if they have strong interest in cooking.
  • Freshers can apply – no prior kitchen experience is required. Any exposure to restaurant/hotel kitchen operations is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation such as cutting, chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
  • Support cooking processes and follow instructions for hot and cold food production.
  • Help in storing food items properly—labeling, dating, and organizing inventory.
