Job Description

The Sous Chef assists the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, hygiene standards, and smooth coordination of kitchen staff. The role involves supervising food preparation, maintaining consistency, and stepping in for the Head Chef when required.

Skills Required

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food productionGood leadership and team management skillsKnowledge of food cost control and inventory managementAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentGood communication and coordination skills

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel or restaurant kitchens
  • Good communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes as per standards
  • Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation consistency
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist in ordering supplies
  • Train junior staff and support skill development
