Job Description

The Sous Chef (Chinese Specialty) is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, especially in the Chinese cuisine section. The role involves leading food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring authentic preparation of Chinese dishes including dim sum and hot kitchen specialties.

Skills Required

Expert knowledge of Chinese cuisine (Dim Sum, Wok, Hot Kitchen).Strong understanding of kitchen operations in a 4–5 star hotel or resort.Ability to lead, train, and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in dim sum making and hot kitchen operations.
  • Good attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality Chinese cuisine, including dim sum, wok dishes, sauces, and other regional specialties
  • Supervise and guide junior chefs and kitchen staff in the Chinese cuisine section.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
